As you continue to grow and develop both personally and professionally, you will find that your circles or networks will change. Those that support and encourage your growth will continue to do so actively or passively based on their perception of the value they can bring. Those who are envious or jealous will begin to distance themselves from you because of the resentment they harbor. You may even find that you have outgrown people because they no longer being value or they are holding you back by their discouraging actions.
Regardless of the reason, recognize the role of those around you as you continue to grow and seek greater laurels. Weed out those who can’t, won’t, or don’t wish you well. Cultivate relationships with those that foster your growth. Remember, elevation requires separation.
